Road Trip!

Given what’s happening on the East Coast right now - Hurricane Sandy about to come ashore and strengthen when it hits a cold air mass - we’re not at all confident that this trip is going to go off as planned. We probably have about a 50-50 chance of being right back here in a few days to kick the house sitter out after thinking better of continuing eastward if power outages are as widespread and long-lasting as now feared.

Nonetheless, we’re going to give it a shot and see what things look like in a day or two. If nothing else, we’ll turn around after we reach North Dakota or Wisconsin and take a somewhat leisurely trip back, stopping in to see some of the sights that we normally just fly by - either because we’re anxious to get those first thousand or so miles behind us or we’re anxious to get back home. Look for something new here either late this week or, if we make it all the way across the country, in two weeks or so.
