Back in a Few…
We are off again - somewhat unexpectedly - into the great outdoors, this time headed a couple hundred miles south to the Grand Tetons, the site of the Fed’s symposium last week where Fed Chief Ben Bernanke launched gold and silver prices out of their recent orbits around $1,600 and $28 an ounce, respectively.
We’ve never camped there before, so, we don’t really know what to expect other than what you can read about the place online. Since it’s only a four hour drive, we can always just turn around and come home if the campgrounds are still packed with Labor Day vacationers. However it works out, we should be back before Friday’s big labor report that will be closely watched by everyone from Wall Street to Washington.
With kids back in school, summer sticking around and the beauty of the Teton you’ll have a gand time!
We’re back and so glad that we went.
We’ve driven through the area many times and poked around a bit, but the high desert feel of the place always turned us off a little. It wasn’t until we camped at Jenny Lake this week and did a little hiking that things turned around for us and I’m sure we’ll be back.
